Africa’s Big 5 in Amboseli National Park

Located 140 kilometers South of Kenya’s capital city of Nairobi Amboseli National Park is truly a destination to see! The park, whose ecosystem mostly consists of savannah grasslands, is most famous for being the best place in Africa to closely observe free-ranging elephants. The park is also a beautiful place to experience close contact with the rest of Africa’s Big 5: African elephant,  the African rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo. These are not the only animals you will come into contact with on either our Game & Beach or The Great Tembo Safari.

The park is home to over 400 species of birds and 47 different types of raptors; a birdwatchers paradise! Furthermore, upon visiting the park guests will also be granted a unique opportunity to experience and interact with contemporary Maasai culture and the indigenous lifestyle. If all this entertainment was not enough, Mount Kilimanjaro, also known as The Roof of Africa, resides as a constant and beautiful backdrop to the parks already stunning atmosphere.
On safari, guests can stay at the incredible Amboseli Sopa Lodge!
