Located 140 kilometers South of Kenya’s capital city of Nairobi Amboseli National Park is truly a destination to see! The park, whose ecosystem mostly consists of savannah grasslands, is most famous for being the best place in Africa to closely observe free-ranging elephants. The park is also a beautiful place to experience close contact with the rest of Africa’s Big 5: African elephant, the African rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo. These are not the only animals you will come into contact with on either our Game & Beach or The Great Tembo Safari.
The park is home to over 400 species of birds and 47 different types of raptors; a birdwatchers paradise! Furthermore, upon visiting the park guests will also be granted a unique opportunity to experience and interact with contemporary Maasai culture and the indigenous lifestyle.
